SIRL Construction Equipment: 5 Products UAE Contractors Use That Are Not Concrete Mixers
Ask any UAE contractor what SIRL makes and they will tell you concrete mixers. They are right, the SIRL BP series is on construction sites across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. But SIRL is a Portuguese manufacturer with a product range that covers the full concrete workflow from placement through to surface finishing and cutting. Here are five SIRL products available through Al Wisam that most UAE contractors have not discovered yet.

1. Power Trowels for Concrete Floor Finishing
After the concrete goes down, it needs to be finished. On industrial slabs, warehouse floors, and large commercial pours, hand floating is too slow and produces inconsistent flatness. A power trowel, also called a power float, drives rotating blades across the surface in tight circles, consolidating and smoothing the concrete as it reaches the correct stiffness for finishing.
SIRL makes three power trowel sizes, all available through Al Wisam.
▶ SIRL SH 60
The 600mm diameter model for smaller pours, tight floor areas, and edge finishing runs where a larger machine cannot work. The SH 60 is also the machine of choice for UAE villa groundwork crews who finish residential slabs in sections.
▶ SIRL SH 90
The 900mm diameter model, the all-round site power trowel. Suitable for commercial floors, warehouse sections, and any pour area where a single operator needs to cover ground efficiently. The Honda GX engine delivers the consistent RPM that power trowelling demands.
▶ SIRL SH 120
The 1,200mm diameter model for industrial slab finishing. When the pour area is a large warehouse, logistics centre, or production plant floor, the SH 120 covers significantly more m² per hour than the SH 90. In UAE summer, this matters: the finishing window on a hot-afternoon pour can be under 30 minutes. A larger machine finishes the section before the surface goes off.
Al Wisam also stocks Finishing Blades, Trowel Blades, and Trowel Pans for the SIRL SH series, the consumable accessories that maintain quality across the full trowelling programme.
2. Poker Vibrators and Needle Shafts for Concrete Consolidation
Vibrating fresh concrete removes air voids and consolidates aggregate around the reinforcement. Without vibration, the pour contains honeycombing, voids where concrete did not fully fill around the rebar. Honeycombing weakens the structure and is a defect on any UAE structural specification.
SIRL makes a complete poker vibrator system. The operator selects a needle head for the work and connects it to a drive unit via a flexible shaft.
▶ SIRL H 38, Ø38mm head, 6.0m flexible shaft
The 38mm needle for tight rebar sections, thin walls, and precast elements where a larger head cannot fit between the bars. Effective radius of action is smaller, more insertions per m², but the only physically viable option in congested reinforcement.
▶ SIRL H 45, Ø45mm head, 6.0m flexible shaft
The all-round site needle. Right for most structural concrete work, slabs, beams, columns with standard rebar spacing, foundations. The larger effective radius covers more concrete per insertion and allows 40–50cm spacing between insertion points.
▶ SIRL H 60, Ø60mm head, 6.0m flexible shaft
For mass concrete. Raft slabs, large pad foundations, retaining walls, ground beams. The 60mm head has the largest effective radius, fewer insertions, faster coverage of large pours. Not suitable for congested rebar.
▶ SIRL SVG100 (Petrol), Robin Subaru EX17, 3.2 kW / 4.3 HP, 24 kg
The petrol drive unit. Lighter and simpler for sites with straightforward petrol supply. Preferred when diesel exhaust in enclosed pours is a concern.
▶ SIRL SVD100 (Diesel), Lombardini 15 LD 225, 3.5 kW / 4.8 HP, 26 kg
The diesel drive unit for remote sites, extended shifts, and projects where diesel is the site-wide fuel. Marginally more powerful than the SVG100. Better fuel economy over long pour sequences.
▶ SIRL SVHP60
The higher-output drive unit for demanding structural pours where the SVG100 or SVD100 is in continuous heavy-use operation across a long pour programme. Enquire with Al Wisam for full specifications.
▶ SIRL EH-28-38-48, Electric Poker Needles
Electric needle heads in 28mm, 38mm, and 48mm diameters for operations where an electric drive is preferred over petrol or diesel. Contact Al Wisam to confirm the correct needle size for your structural specification.
3. Asphalt and Concrete Flat Cutters for Road Works
Flat cutters make controlled straight cuts in asphalt and concrete surfaces. Road reinstatement after utility works, expansion joint preparation, saw-cut control joints in new concrete slabs, and road marking slots all require a flat cutter. The machine walks forward on a guide wheel, keeping the blade on a consistent line and at a consistent depth.
▶ SIRL SCAE40
The standard SIRL flat cutter for UAE road works, utility trench reinstatement, and expansion joint preparation. Water-fed blade for dust control. Precise depth adjustment. Consistent cut along the full run.
▶ SIRL SCAE50
The larger-capacity model for deeper cuts, structural joint preparation, and heavy road repair applications where the SCAE40 does not reach the required cut depth.
4. Hand Mixers for Tile Adhesive, Grout, and Render
Not every mixing task requires a drum mixer. Tile adhesive, grout, floor levelling compound, render, and small repair patches need a hand mixer, faster to set up, faster to clean, and more controllable on mix consistency for small volumes.
▶ SIRL B1600 and SIRL B1800
Professional dual-paddle hand mixers built for continuous trade use. The B1800 handles heavier mixes and larger batch sizes. Both are available through Al Wisam and suit finishing crews, tile contractors, and maintenance teams who need reliable small-batch mixing without drum mixer logistics.
5. Pan Mixers for Stiff and Specialty Mixes
Free-fall drum mixers, including the SIRL BP series, work well on standard wet concrete. They lose effectiveness on stiff, dry, or specialty mixes. Refractory concrete, dry-shake floor hardeners, fibre-reinforced mortars, and tile bedding mortars need mechanical shearing to homogenise properly. Gravity-action mixing cannot achieve it.
▶ SIRL MH 140
The SIRL pan mixer. Rotating blades inside a fixed pan shear through stiff materials regardless of slump or fibre content. Right for refractory concrete in industrial plant, specialty floor screeds, high-fibre mortars, and any mix design where your drum mixer produces inconsistent results. Available through Al Wisam.
When you buy SIRL through Al Wisam, you have access to a complete site system, mixer, vibrator, power trowel, flat cutter, hand mixer, and pan mixer, from one authorised UAE distributor. One supplier, one service contact, one spare parts source.
